    Gen 4 Glock 19?

I had a previous generation Glock 19 and sold it because it really didn't fit my hand very well, especially where my 2nd finger of the shooting hand fits in a normal shooting position under the trigger guard.

For those of you who own or have tried the Gen 4 Glock 19, do you think there is any difference in the ergonomics? My local gun shop does not have one on hand right now. They do have a Gen 4 Model 17 and it's fine.

I heard it's pretty good since it has detachable straps and a different grip.
    but that's my $.02

I have a gen4 Glock 19 but it's been a long time since I've shot the previous generation one. If you've tried the gen4 Glock 17 then you're aware of the difference in grip texture. I, for one, like the new, rougher texture.

The main improvement I've found is the new magazine release button. The stock one is great. It's big enough to hit easily, and unlike the "enhanced" magazine release of previous gen glocks, it doesn't stick out too far either.

What specifically is the issue with your 2nd finger? if you fit a glock 17 fine I would think you should have no problem with a glock 19 (especially since you can make the grip bigger on the gen4 if you need to)

I thought the gen4's were still off roster though, or are you leo?

Love the G19 Gen4. No issues here.

I have both the Gen 3 and Gen 4 Glock 19's and I like the grip of the Gen 4 over the Gen 3. After trying all three grip sizes (the large strap, the medium strap and without a strap) the medium strap feels the best to me. Some people say with the medium strap on its the same as a Gen 3 grip. I feel that the medium strap is slightly larger than the Gen 3's grip.

Sorry to hi-jack the thread just a tad but do the gen 4's now come with the 0-4-1 spring instead of the 0-4?

I'm not LEO, and I didn't know the Model 19 was off roster. I saw a lot of Glocks in the case at the store, but I just assumed they were all Gen 4. Are you saying NO gen 4s are approved for Taxifornia?

for me, there is not a big difference between the gen 4 and gen 3 glock 19. but for people with larger hands, i guess they have more options.

there not that many gen 4 out here in the Bay.

Valkyrie Arms is the only place that I know of where they do it by single shot exemption.

I haven't seen the 17 yet. I'am sure you could order one. I'am waiting (thinking about it) on a Gen4 Glock 21 and for sure a G20 in the future.

They are not "aprproved for Taxifornia" unless you convert them to a 'single-shot' gun.

The new grip is a huge improvement! I'd get them if you get the chance...single shot.
