    First Range Trip

    And I'm hooked.

Went to Insight and took a basic class with the Chief. Cool guy. I told him I wanted to try my Colt Trooper and was interested in the 1911 platform. He let me shoot his Colt Series 70 1911.

Only real bummer of the day was the Trooper locked up after only about 6 rounds Loaded a full cylinder and then the trigger wouldn't pull all the way anymore. Thing probably hasn't been shot in over 20 years though. No biggie.

Shot the rest of the 38 specials through the Chief's Ruger revolver.

At the end I asked him how I did and he said "damn good". I was shooting lower with the 45 but it had stock sights and the revolver had the green dots in the rear/red dot in the front (not sure what thats called) sights which were so much easier to shoot. The head shots were with the revolver.

    I want a 1911 now

This was at 5 yards. What you guys think?
