I know it's been asked before, but I'm looking for some opinions on the two. If you've owned one, or both, throw your thoughts out. I just sold an XD and am looking to pick up a carry gun. I was originally set on the M&P, but now it's out of stock, and exceptionally hard to find at the moment. The Glock 27 is however in stock.
In my mind the pros of the Glock are that it fits my Glock 19 holster, it has the same ergonomics to simplify training, and it's points the same as my 19. My holdback is mostly that, I reload, and I've seen the stories of the glock .40's and case head failures. I know most of these are attributed to bad reloading practices or double charges etc.
The main pro of the M&P is the outright better designed grip mostly. The biggest downside is I'll have to pout some money into the trigger, and a new holster, because I hate the impossible to locate reset on the M&P.
Anyone have anything to add to either side? If you reload .40 for your glock, what do you look for in your brass to ensure that the case head is still strong? Or do you just stick to low pressure loads and reload as usual? I'd be reloading plated 180gr bullets at low to moderate pressure levels.
Thanks
