Going to buy a Storm Lake barrel. Question?

Picking up a .357sig barrel for my xd40. Going with Storm Lake. Good price. Anyone having any negatives to say?

    Thanks.

Storm Lake is good quality. I have one on my GLOCK 29. The only two complaints (which are minor) are:

    1. It took 60 days to get the barrel. (backordered. and missed a couple of delivery dates)

    2. I reload 10MM hot and the chamber on the Storm Lake was too tight. Feeding problems. I ended up chucking up a Rifle cleaning rod with Crocus cloth in the slot. Chucked up in my drill press I simply held the barrel and moved it up and down to polish the chamber. It runs 100% now after 2000 rounds of reloads and factory.

I think I paid $175 plus shipping for the barrel.

You probably won't have these problems. Apparently extended aftermarket barrels in 10MM for the Glock 29 are rare and not in demand. That's probably why I had to wait so long for an order to be finished.

    Have fun.!

I thought about doing the same for my M&P 40 but after realizing the cost difference of .357 Sig vs. .40 S&W, I figured it wasn't worth it.

I thought that too. But, for $120 for some extra fun and to have another size calibers I can shoot, isn't bad.

10mm Glock extended barrels may well be in more demand when the G20 Gen4 and/or G29 Gen4 come out, since people will need extended bbls to (in part) trigger Roster-exempt single-shot status so as to be purchaseable in CA.
