Has Anyone used Tripp Research Magazines?

    Good day to you Calgunners,

I'm about to start using a custom built single stack 1911 in .40 cal in USPSA/IPSC Limited 10 competitions.

Trying to find 10 round single stack 1911 magazines hasn't been that easy.
I was able to find some from Tripp Research http://www.trippresearch.com/store/store_1911.html

Have any of you used this brand of magazines and if so, what are your opinions?
Also any suggestions of other brands that exist in this configuration is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks everyone!

I had trouble with a Tripp 10 rounder where the last round would fail to feed, but their 8 round mags work great for me. The Chip McCormick 10 rounders have been reliable in my 1911's. I haven't tried the Wilson 10 rounders but I read a lot of good reviews on them.

They make some of the best magazines. I've used their 9mm and .45 ones.

I had issued with the Tripp 10's as well. CMC 10's have been perfect.

I currently use their 8 round .45 magazines. No problems at all so far. Very well built and thought out design with the hybrid follower.

I have never used their 10 round mags, but I believe their 8 round .45 mags are the best 1911 mags money can buy.

I ran the Tripp 10 rounders in 9mm for my Single Stack gun. I ran about 5000 rounds in 2 months. The ONLY issue I had was that the follower on one magazine needed a minor adjustment as it was not consistently engaging the slide lock on last round.. 5 seconds with a pair of pliers and it was resolved... Other than that, they ran perfect.

A bunch of guys at my local shooting club really like tripp. If I had to buy my own set, I'd definitely go with them...

as a side note, I don't think I've ever seen anyone run a single stack in limited 10.? Most guys I see run their 1911's in Single Stack while leaving the 2011's/Wide bodies to LIM and LIM 10.. Im curious to see how a lighter 1911 will do .. Good luck!
