    Revolver grip help

So today I shot my brand new Ruger SP101 2.25" .357 magnum for the first time, and it was BLAST, PUN INTENDED. Because the barrel size, it feels like a damn elephant gun in my palms compared to my SIG P226 (my only other gun) haha.

Anyway, I was actually shooting .38 specials most of the time and even with that, I am having grip issues. I can't seem to get a good grip on the gun. What I've been doing (I'm right handed) is holding the gun in my right hand with my finger on the trigger, this feels natural. However, I don't know how to place my left hand on it effectively so what I do is I cup the bottom of the gun because otherwise there's too much hand on the left side and not enough room, if that makes sense. Is there any video or instructions on snubnose grip? FYI - my shot placements were all high and to the far left, if that signifies anything. I wouldn't mind taking a class either but I've never seen a revolver class advertised anywhere.

Interestingly, I think shooting the revolver has made me not just appreciate but actually get better with my SIG... I was shooting insane groups today like 5 straights. If you are wondering why I bought the Ruger, it's because I did rent this gun before and I shot pretty well with it so I know I can, it's just a matter of me learning how again. Plus, it may just need to be broken in a bit.

Why not learn from the best?

By the way, should I use my first joint when shooting a snubnose? I'm used to using the pad of my finger when firing my SIG P226 but it's harder to do it that way with a SP101, plus my shots have been going way left anyway.
