    Micro UZI clones?

I've always liked UZIs though the only ones I could have bought back in the '90s were those funky Norinco ones with the tree trunk sticking off the back.

Now that companies are cloning various guns, why haven't we seen a micro UZI clone? It seems like it'd be perfect for those of us here in CA that can't have evil features. The mini and full sized versions are out, but the micro seems like it'd only take minor tweaking to be legal here. At least for feature set, making the safe pistol list is a whole different story, I'm sure.

On the other hand, perhaps I'm the only one interested in a large 9mm semi auto that only holds 10 rounds(here)...

I owned a couple of Micro Uzi back in 1992, they were awkward to shoot and didn't really have that much of an advantage over a hi-cap pistol, if fact, I think they are worst. It was way too top heavy, shooting it would rock the gun back and forth.. it got tiring just to keep it in weaver stance as the gun was heavy with a loaded 25 or 32 rd mag. The best Uzi was the mini..well balance and perfect sub gun size

I don't know if any have been made.. I heard a rumor that some people were shortening full size group industries receivers into micro uzis but I don't know if it is a production thing.

If they have been made offlist, there are easy ways to bring them into the state legally.

I found this pic of a idf micro and it has a glock magwell which is pretty cool.

I think the mini version is the best design also.

I imagine these things are best shot from a stock like you often see. Perhaps pulled forwards against a strap would be better than just handheld. Btw, do those straps count as stocks, thus making it a short barreled rifle?

I'm talking about something like this, but obviously this is for concealed carry:
