Not sure if this belongs in the FFL forum or here, so I'll start here. Does anyone know if this Rossi Circuit Judge chambered in .45/.410 is allowed/legal in CA? Thought I read a shotgun (because this can shoot .410 would it also be classified as a shotgun?) couldn't have a cylinder in CA. Not sure if the same applies to other chamber in a rifle in CA. Just wondering as I wouldn't mind having one of these.

Is this rifle legal in CA?

Apparently, they made (or plan to make) two versions, one rifled and one not. The rifled version does not fall under Ca's definition of a "shotgun". Therefor, the "revolving cylinder" thing would not apply. So, as long as it has a rifled barrel and has an OAL of +26", it is fine in Ca. As a matter of fact, a little searching here would have given you that answer and pointed you to a few shops that are already selling these in Ca.NRA Certified Pistol, Rifle, Shotgun and Metallic Cartridge Reloading Instructor
