STI Edge questions

I'm not a LEO but I would like to purchase a STI Edge... Can I purchase a out of state private party transfer if they just send the pistol minus the hicap mags??? Or do I have to do a single shot conversion to have one transffered here ???

If it is not on the Cal DOJ Roster (which I do not believe it is), you can't buy it directly from out of State. You will either need to find one for sale by private party in California, or use the single shot option. You might also consider buying a Barsto BS-40 http://www.barsto.com/barsto_guns.cfm?ID=BS40 which is on the Roster
