Does anyone know why my P226's takedown lever seems to be getting progessively harder to move? When I got the gun, it was much smoother, now I'm almost hurting my finger to get the thing open. What's weird is that I've sprayed lubricant directly into the lever area and have had no improvement. Had the gun for a year (it was bought new) and put probably 5,000 rounds thru it.

what kind of lubricant? Also you may want to strip the gun and actually remove the lever assembly and inspect the wear points.
