I got one for my p220. Best $300 I've spent on handgun stuff in a long time. Have about 1500 rounds through it and no problems. Using grease, I get at least 300 rounds through it before the slide begins to gum up. At the first FTE, I re-lube it and it's gtg for another 300.

I broke mine in with 300 rnds of CCI mini-mag, but then switched over to winchester 36 gr. copper washed hp (walmart "555" bulk). Have been using the bulk ever since with no issues.

Based on the cost difference between .45 acp and .22lr, it paid for itself right around 900 rounds. And its very accurate as well.

I just bought an SA 1911 loaded target stainless, and the first "accessory" I got for that one is a Marvel precion rim fire kit. Wish I could tell you how that one works, but I haven't had a chance to get it to the range yet.

If you like to shoot/practice a lot but don't want to burn $$$ on tons of cf ammo, get one.

Have one for my P226. It works well, and I like it a lot. Being able to practice with .22lr and the same trigger and ergonomics is pretty cool.

The only down-sides are that it is much lighter than the 9mm slide/barrel and changes the weight and balance of the gun, and that it does not lock the slide after the last round is expended.

Somebody makes a replacement follower that will lock the slide, but each costs about as much as a magazine.

I have one for my 226ST and it was an excellent investment, for fun (love shooting .22lrs), for training (lower cost and using the same controls) and teaching (easier to see students faults)...I only feed mine the recommended CCI MiniMag rounds

I would recommend the Sig .22lr conversion kit over a separate pistol if you really want to become more proficient with your Sig

wait for buds or cheaperthandirt to get back in stock. i bought mine for 230 shipped from buds. it was the best firearm purchase ever. mine does not like mini mags to much. but loves everything in a bulk pack. i ran through a box of blazer bulk for break in , thats what it seems to love, and had zero issues. i get around 3-4" groups at 25 yards.

there is one draw back.. since there is such little recoil, i find myself doing mag dumps and can run through 50 rounds in less then 3 mins.

the one I had experience with didn't like bulk federal or cci but really liked cci minimags (expensive) and federal auto match. A trick for those 22 kits that don't lock back is to load an empty casing into the magazine first. I dont know if it applies to all of them, but I read/learned/heard dry firing is bad since the hammer would eventually eat into the aluminum around the chamber.

I have one for my 226. Love it.

I got it during a Sig Black Friday sale a couple of years ago, got 2 mags, some spares for the centerfire version and all for less than the retail of the kit itself.

The follower that allows last-round slide hold-back is here (but not cheap):

Works fine, prevents any firing pin impact problems after the last round.

Also, avert your eyes from this, since it would increase mag capacity beyond 10:

                            mine worked without a hitch

Mine worked without a hitch right out of the box, I had one for my P228 but sold it. Just didn't care for having to swap out the slide. In the free world you can by a complete center fire frame and 22 slide from Sig.

I have kit for my P226. Upgraded it with a kit from SigPower that locks the slide back on the last shot. Once you pull the magazine out, the slide goes forward again, but at least you know when you shot your last round.

Mine loves Minimags and a lot of bulk packs. Its likes heavier rounds though, so hollow points don't always work well.
