    HSC question

I have 2 questions regarding the HSC.

    1. Is it like a driver's license, in that it must be renewed upon its expiration in order to legally own your handgun?

    2. If I move, will I have to change the registered address on each handgun, and if I do, who/where do I go to do that?

    1. NO but you will have to renew it upon purchasing another handgun (if the law is still intact).

    2. No

My HSC card says it expires 5 years from the date I got it.

Correct. So as of now you can purchase one new handgun per month until it expires and then you'd need to renew it.

IIRC, it is illegal to loan a handgun to someone who does not possess an HSC (and is otherwise not prohibited)... so if you ever borrow a handgun from a friend, you'd need a current HSC for that, too. Of course, that's assuming you don't want to get your friend in trouble; but if you want to get even for something....
