You will have to find a private party in California selling one...sounds like you need two though...btw, the compact is still a pretty large gun for CCW...
3 day waiting period???? but I'm mad now!!!!!!

Single shot exemption? Valkyrie arms does px4 compact conversions. It's pretty thick still. Only fractions of an inch smaller than a full size px4. I was looking to get one and ended up with a pm9

For some reason I read Baretta, and imagine a semi-auto .50bmg pistol.

A Beretta compact isn't all that compact. However, they can be had in a number of places: you can get them via PPT, or by having a shop convert them into a roster-exempt configuration (barrel swap and mag plug). The compact models mostly use the same barrels as the full size, unless youre talking about getting an old 84 or something. Then you're hunting in the PPT category for the most part.

I take it that you are looking for an PX4 storm platform, if so then the Beretta 8000 is a roster approved gun. Attached is one on GB.

Just buy a full-size legal Beretta 92FS and then go to www.berettaforum.net and buy a used centurion or compact slide in the classifieds, thats what I did.

Centurion slide fits the normal 92FS/M9 frames?
Do the centurions and 92 FS share the same frame?

Beretta's can do all sorts of cool things not many people know about.

I'm not sure the OP meant a 92 or mostly full-size pistol - Beretta makes a few very nice (and pricey) .380s; I think they're the 84 and 85. And there's also a .32 and maybe a .25 that are said to fit very well in pockets. Whether these calibers are good for the intended use - well, opinions differ.

                            Hi Cindy

                            Welcome to the forum.

I'm guessing by your post , you're looking for a smaller Beretta than a full size 92FS for CCW. I suggest, 1st chose the caliber you want. After that decision, chose your model platform.

Beretta still has several great choices in smaller handguns in .380 acp and even a 92FS Compact Type M / Blue Steel 4.3" Barrel in 9mm still on the DOJ approved list. Check out them out.

Good luck & again welcome to the forum.

I own both a full-size 92FS & a 92FS Compact. On paper the Compact doesn't appear to be much smaller then the full-size but when you handle it you'll feel the difference.

A bunch of Compacts recently hit the market & no one is sure how long they'll be around for. I purchased mine from Buds. If you already own a 92FS, M9 or other variant the Compact is a nice choice as it can use the same holsters, magazines & other small parts.
