    Glock 21SF

I was spying a G21 SF the other day and noticed that the "CA" version has only a left side magazine release. Can these frames be retrofitted to use the ambidextrous mag release?

I have one with the dual mag release. I actually like the single side better.

I was holding mine left handed because I broke my right hand, and the mag latch pokes me right in the hand and it is scratchy as hell. I imagine it would be like that for my right hand with the ambi latch....
a gun in the hand is worth more than a cop on the phone.

I've used the Ambi version and the mag release didn't bother me at all. Guess it depends on how you hold your pistol. I'm used a 1911 style high thumb, both thumbs forward type grip. I don't have particularly fat finger either if that makes a difference.

My G21-SF "ambi release" has a very different frame than my standard G21s. I was closely comparing them side-by-side the other day. I haven't been able to look closely at the G21-SF with standard mag release to see if the frame looks more like the G21 or G21 ambi. I don't have one to compare the other 2 against.

The G21SF ambi uses a totally different frame mold inside the magwell -thus allowing it to be Ambi, from my armchair observations. I'm no Glock expert, but they seemed to have completely different internal mag release designs.
