    Beretta Question...

Would anyone know the difference between a 92FS and a 92FS Brigadier?

I went to the Beretta website but could not locate the info....

Thanks in advance for your help guys........

Basically the Brigadier has a thicker/beefier slide. It has a different front sight, dove tailed, if I recall correctly. Same mags, same frame design.

Note some 92FS holsters will not fit a Brig (e.g. certain Kydex, exact fitting leather, etc.), although some adjustable holster designs can handle both.

I believe the beefed up slide was in response to a request by a Federal agency wanting to use the Beretta .40 (INS, Customs?) and the Brig slide was also made available in 9mm.

The Brigadier has a slide that is beefier in the locking block area and also has a dovetailed in front sight.

Go to Berettaforum.net for everything you ever wanted to know about Beretta's and the different models. Happy reading.
