You can buy a black finished CZ, but god forbid you buy the same gun with a nickel or stainless finish. The pretty metallic finish makes it way too dangerous for Californians to own.

Nope, could have been in-state prior to the roster, or brought into the state and resold PPT, or bought by LEO and transferred/sold.

Wait. If the gun is at the gun store, and it is being offered for sale by the FFL, then the firearm cannot be purchased by someone who doesn't have any exemptions to the handgun safety roster. It could be purchased by LE, but not by any normal person who is subject to the restrictions of the handgun safety roster.

The only way I could see it being sold by the FFL is if it were made into a single shot, per the stickied thread in this subforum.
