I have been reading contradicting reports. I have heard the LAPD range was open to the public but was closed in 2007. I see other sites that list it as open to the public. I have tried calling the number of the range listed but it just continues to ring. Does anyone have any information on this? I live 10 minutes away and would love to try it since I have only been to indoor ranges before.

Still closed to public unfortunately. Have to drive out to artesia "insight" for a decent range. Sharpshooters is closer but their hangers, lighting and ventilation is sub par."Laws that forbid the carrying of arms, disarms only those who are neither inclined, nor determined to commit crimes.
