Going to Front Sight June 24th

I'm going to Front Sight June 24th-27th to take the 4day defensive handgun class. If you've got the time, membership and desire you should do the class too. The more calgunners the merrier. You need to sign up 2 weeks before the class starts to guarantee a spot.

I've posted about this before, but to repeat ...

I walked into the Frontsight situation with low expectations, but came out mildly impressed. Fun, safe, and I learned something. Of course, I had to deal with the cultural morass that is Pahrump, but it was OK for a couple of days. Next time I'll stay in the morality vacuum of Las Vegas.

Four buddies and I did the two-day class. The cheesy marketing was not as bad as I had expected and actually served as a humorous side show. For $75 it was a screaming bargain.

Nobody pays retail to go to FS. Certs are available to first time attendees for as little as $125. Enjoy your class, you will be a better and safer shooter at the end of 4 days.
Seventy five bucks got a class? That is/was a smoking deal. I'd match that price if someone wanted 2 or more certs.

i'm going on the 25th for a 2 day class. It's my second time for the 2 days, just because i promised to go with 1 of my friends. That's fine though, it's better to build muscle memory, then to cram all information into a day class. I had fun however.

Maybe we could hook up down there.

I'll try to bring something that indicates Calguns. We need to plan some more organized trips there. With so many Calgunners now FS members we could put together some good showings.

OP- Dont know if this is your first trip or not, but here are some tips...

              - Take a ball cap, you need it.

              - Come COMPLETELY prepared- sun block, holster, enough ammo, drinks, mag pouches, etc.

              - Do NOT show off. Go there with a learning mind set and not there to impress anyone.

              Hope that helps.

Just got back from the 4 day handgun, awesome training. It exceeded my expectations and then some. The guy that taught our class, Chris, was a ex Greek Comando underwater demolition Spec Ops guy and really new his stuff. Very cool dude to boot. Cant wait to go back and do it again. And that sniper canyon looks like a lot of fun.

Graduated Pistol last year and Rifle this year. Had a great time each time. The classes are a great way to learn the basics for armed encounters, and the membership deals make it quite affordable. My goal is to get Graduate or Distinguished Graduate with each of my firearms.
