I really have no experience w/ this particular handgun but looking at these hilarious responses I'm guessing it's not the best in the bunch?

No it's not. I do have other better made hand guns but I have to say that my Hi-Point C9 was my best buy. I have put about 2500-3000 rounds through my C9 with only 3 jams during my first 400 rounds, but since I broken it in, it has been a 100% reliable. I don't think you can beat that kind reliability for only $140, I only wish I could buy a Hi-Point 995 carbine in this state.

I saw one at a store recently, I think it was priced around 200$.... so were the pair of ruger MKI's.... it wasn't a very hard decision.

that being said, they go bang reliably and offer protection to those who can't afford anything better.

I've thought about getting one just to see how much metal could be milled off of it without causing a KB...

Not a good idea!!! Hi-Points are true blowback, the weight of the slide is needed for the gun to function. By the way $200 is way too much to pay for a Hi-Point. Good buy on the Rugers though, I have to say I love my Ruger more then my Hi-Point.

did you photoshop that slip over grip onto your highpoint... for some reason it looks really weird.

In other news I was thinking about getting a high point at one time... although I was looking for a used one at like $70 bucks, for $70 bucks you can't really go wrong, everyone who has one seems to think highly of them, they're not the greatest to look at but they seem to function fairly well from what I've heard.

                            So that's what that was...

Slip over grip? I thought that was an old piece of inner tube!

People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

reminds me of the old crappy car joke...

                              Q) You know how to double the value of a hi-point?

                              A) Load the magazine.
