Training class would be money better spent imo.

On the other hand, CT's are fun and I would get them at that price.

      lasers are not for beginners......

they're for self defense situation, when you just draw the gun, turn on the laser and fire, without bringing the gun to the eye level

if you need practice: dry fire at home and shoot a lot at the range or register into a class

I do not suggest using a laser until/unless you have MASTERED using irons.

Absolutely, learn the basics of your weapon before outfitting it with ninja powers.

Not sure I understand all of the negativity aimed at the laser. It seems like it could be a good diagnostic tool. Have somebody film your target while shooting. Aim with the iron, but use the vids to see what's going on as you're pulling the trigger.

That sounds good in theory but, most shooters, specially newer shooters won't/don't have the disipline to tune out the red dot and just use irons. I've seen it time and time again. All lasers do is screw people up when they are trying to learn the basics.

                Ditto.

A laser is a tool, and as with any tool that relies upon technology, it can fail, and Murphy says that it will fail at the worst time.
Learning with the laser and relying solely upon it will leave you in a world of hurt when something goes "bump" in the night and your battery is dead because it got activated in the case/safe.

And Murphy is usually right. You may open your safe to go to the range and find a dead battery when you get there. "Oh, it must have been bumped by something, I'll be more careful."
You replace the battery and promise to be more careful.
A year later, you have forgotten about that... and you have 6 hours of range time on that "new" battery.....
