    SR9 Slide Question

The last two times I have been to the range I used Blazer ammo only. I went yesterday, I used American Eagle and some Remington UMC ammo. I shot around 120 rounds, and about 5 or 6 shots, my slide wouldn't go all the way forward. It lacked about an 1/8" from going all the way forward. I had to hit the back of the slide to seat it fully.

Do you think going to a new ammo caused this? With the range trip yesterday, I have shot close to 400 rounds total through my gun. I didn't have this problem with the Blazer.

My SR9 had the same problem with not going into full battery. When it happened to me it was form 0-700 rounds and after about 700 I have had no issue of any kind with my SR9. I would recommend running another 500-600 rounds through it and if it still has a problem call Ruger.

Good to know, I'll run more bullets through it and see if I still have the problem.

It could be the ammo if the bullets were not set right in the casing. Also as BayAreaShooter said a little more shooting couldn't hurt. You might also want to polish your feed ramp so the cartridge will slide in easier. Does this happen during shooting or on the first round of a new mag?

I think since you used two different brands of ammo and it happened with both it just needs to be broken it.
