Taurus pt92 grip screw bushing

Does anyone know how to take apart the taurus pt 92 grip screw bushing? Without destroying the threads on the bushing.

I took off my left grip on a new taurus pt92 and a u shaped spring came out. The spring will not go back in until i can get the grip screw separated from the grip screw bushing as far as i can tell.

I had to get a bushing off a screw before. I used a piece of leather over the threads so I could grip the bushing without damage. It worked. Mark
