I jus picked up an SA operator with novak fixed night sights. Took to the range and everything was shooting low. Switched to my SA Loaded with adjustable sights that I've been shooting for 2 years and everything was within 3 inches (still working on it getting it tighter). Here's the thing.... WHY? Why is it that with adjustable sights I'm going right where I want but wit the fixed I'm consistently low and sometimes right.
Is it something that I used the adjustable sights to compensate for bad form so I've been able to get away with it? I find with the fixed sights, to shoot on target, I have to have the front sight 3/4 above the rear.
At what distance are fixed sights normally set for?
Help and ideas are appreciated.
Thanks.
