Ok im out if my element here on these two; a friends wife was looking to get rid of these but im stumped. I know one is a colt 38 and the other a H&R top break 38 with pearl grips. Her deceased husband left a note saying the colt was a special issue for Long Beach Pd but I dont know.

What are they worth?

The first one I'm not sure about, but it looks like the .32 my great grandma used to use as a CCW.
The second one looks like a Colt Police Positive to me, and since it's a Colt and they haven't been made in a while I figure it will probably be worth a lot. You ought to get these professionally appraised, I doubt anyone here will be much help.http://i29.photobucket.com/albums/c2...almonfai3l.jpg

The H&R is probally a .38 Smith & Wesson. Not to be confused with a .38 Special. I have a few of these and one of them is in .38 s&w. As for the Colt, looks to be one of the Police models. My reccomendation is to look up the gun by serial number, someone here should have the link to it, I think I got it off of here myself before. This way it can tell you the date of manufacture. If you want to spend the time/money/energy/effort, you can write to colt, and they will send you a letter of providence regarding the gun. If it was sold to LBPD, then they will know! Good luck and if all else fails, buy them from your friend and keep them for yourself!
As far as values, the H&R probally isnt worth more than $150.00, they just dont command high prices. The Colt could be worth up to $400-$450, but I would reccomend professional appraisal to find out the exact values.Originally posted by Soldier415I am naked except for seatless white chaps, a boonie hat and a tactical vest playing HALO.Originally posted by oaklanderI don't like getting my butt kicked, but I would like to have it spanked by some big hairy guys!Originally posted by ohsmilyI wouldn't put "mounting a weasel" past too many people on this forum.Originally posted by hoffmangGoing after the NFA soon is like asking the girl you just met in the bar if she's into anal sex...
