I was about to jump through the monitor , that is, until I read the rest of your message. GLOCK's simply (w/ very little maintenance) DON'T wear out. The only thing I've heard is that (during a "torture test") sending 15-20,000 rds. downrange @ rapidfire pace can melt (therefore : cause to fail) the factory plastic guide rod. So, probably not needing to, I swapped out the R.S./G.R. assy. on all 3 of my Glocks w/ Tungstenrods/Wolff springs. I'm a factory armorer and put mine (as well as customers') under VERY demanding situations, as one can imagine (DISCLAIMER: I am MUCH, MUCH HARDER on my own guns than clients'!
), and I have YET to see one significant "failure" that can't be cleared/fixed in seconds. It's almost always unusually sub-par ammo. Glock's will essentially digest anything you put through them, then beg for more!
