    Maybe you should just get the 10 round mag for it?



    My understanding is the 229 and the 229r differ in the rail. (I do not own one by the way, so don't know for certain)

      Only the 9mm magazine is 15rds, the .40 is 12rds. Either way, they're basically stock P229s with the addition of the e2 grip, beavertail, rails, short reset trigger, and the 226-esque slide, and they take standard 229 magazines, whether 10rds or large-capacity.

        If you want rebuild kits for full cap mags try www.44mag.com (they offer rebuild kits as a service)

        For 10 rounders I usually use Greg Cote LLC www.gregcotellc.com mecgar makes good ones.

          wanna hear a DOH!!!! the 229EE is on teh roster, but the CA version DOES NOT come with the *****in E2 grips... Just the stock grips. wtf... damn CA.
