Glock 34 barrel - threaded and compensated

I have a KKM barrel on a Glock 34 with a Wolf compensator. The barrel cannot be installed onto the gun as it will become an AW under California law. Permanently attaching the compensator is a no go since I can't get the barrel out of the slide if I do so.

Any suggestions that I haven't thought of? I think I'm stuck with getting a 34 barrel with gas ports (or none). I don't have the original barrel...

My 34 shoots great with the stock non-ported barrel. Perhaps contact Glock and obtain a replacement?

unless you run super hot hand loads and reduced power recoil springs, you won't get that rig to run anyway. And even if you do get it running, it will beat your Glock to death. Sell the comp and have a gunsmith cut the barrel and re-crown it.

Or if you want a factory Glock barrel, Lone Wolf offers them too.

Lone Wolf Arms is the largest manufacturer of aftermarket parts for Glocks. We also have M&P Shield, Beretta/Taurus, and Browning Hi-Power parts.

If you're thinking about this for a competition gun, most folks that run Glocks simply use a pre-ported barrel with port out the top of the G34 slide cutout and ahead of the slide. While this has issues making 9mm major, it works as long as that is not your goal.

Thanks for the info but it shoots fine with 124gr ball ammo. 115gr proved too light. I now have a 4 port LWD barrel on back order. I may install the barrel "protector" permanently in the meantime.
