I am impressed with the quality of the Primary Arms Micro Red Dot Sight I picked up for my backup rifle. It delivers a lot for a tiny price tag.Comment

I've had pretty good luck with the Bushnell TRS-25.
One's in use on my Lever Action, one on a Saiga
.
Lots of transfers to pistol with the rifle getting slung fast with the red dot hitting my dump pouch on occasion and it maintains zero and functions flawlessly...Last edited by G-Solutions; 05-16-2011, 4:50 PM.Upcoming Classes:

Put this Burris on my Draco & I love it, small/compact, bright dot, auto shut-off with hood:

These all look like great options.
Will an open style sight work better with my "pistol" than a tube style? I am worried i will loose some of my ability to see as much as possible if I go with a tube.+
Just to make sure...A weaver style sight will fit a picatinny rail but the opposite probably wont work?Last edited by Lazyme; 05-17-2011, 6:08 AM.WeeeeeeeeeComment

I use a Railway Red Dot from C-More Systems on a 10.5 in. gas piston pistol upper.
4MOA dot is swappable for different sizes.
FYI; I also run a JPSRTS on a new 7.5 in. DI pistol build. Just finished it so the resulting accuracy review will have to wait. Needs to be field tested.Comment

Being these AR pistols have a fairly noticeable recoil when compared to a Carbine, I'd suggest a laser for quick target acquisition. Veridian or LaserMax does the job great.
But if you're stuck on a Red Dot, and a budget of under $100, go with the SIG STS-081. Many available on eBay.MagPul MPLA

Good so far, I keep in mind when the Draco is just lying there (not often) when I'm shooting something else I just slip the plastic hood on & it goes to sleep. It also has a small switch on the side to power off too if you like.
I really like it, took a little getting used to because of it's small size but no prob now. I really recommend it.------------------------------------------------------------

This is just a temporary until I can save the pennies for something a little more worthy. I shot it today without any sights just to get a feel for it. Getting something cheap real quick to solve the nothit****itus.Being these AR pistols have a fairly noticeable recoil when compared to a Carbine, I'd suggest a laser for quick target acquisition.
