Help me decide

Im contemplating whether to get a handgun (Glock19 or a 21sf) or build an AR pistol. I know they are totally different weapon systems, but they will mostly be for range shooting and home defense. This will be my second firearm btw and I need to know where to spend my extra $$.

Glock 19...cheaper ammo, means more practice.

What's your first gun? For HD, a pump-shotgun is king if you know your patterns.

But since you asked for advice between a Glock and AR pistol, I'd go with the Glock 19. Why do you need an AR pistol?

AR pistol for HD? Have fun reloading your gun if you're in a stressful situation.

I would go with glock23, .40 is cheaper to shoot than .45 and has more stopping power than 9mm.
remember, 10 rounds is max in CA

First gun is an AR15. I was also leaning towards an AR pistol because I wanted it a range toy and the fact that it's more maneuverable than my rifle when it comes to HD.

Don't get an AR pistol (or any other "toy" for that matter) until you have a proper handgun and shotgun. An AR pistol is not a proper sidearm.

I was never a Glock fan until I tried a G19. It is one of my favorite pistols to shoot now. It is accurate, reliable, inexpensive to shoot and did I say accurate and reliable. The size is perfect for concealment and duty size all in one. I love shooting the 1911 and the Sig's as well. Both are just as accurate and the Sig is just as reliable. I do get to practice more with my G19 ammo is much cheaper.

A Glock of course

A GLOCK 19 is a required base weapon in every mans's collection. Probably the most popular 9MM in the world; for a reason.

Then a Glock 21 SF..every person should own a great .45 auto.

The AR pistol is range toy..not good for much.
