    Kimber backlog?

I tried calling every local (within 100mi) dealer I could find trying to locate a Kimber in 10mm either an eclipse or stainless target II. Nobody has one and everyone tells me it could be an up to 4-6month wait or whenever Kimber does a run. Any truth?

That is about right. They are sooo slow for whatever reason. I have seen certain models take close to a year.

I would be willing to bet the dealers are buying the safest/popular option from a dealer's perspective. When it comes to a 1911, 45ACP is the safest bet. The last thing they want is a gun sitting on the shelf. So they want to appeal to the widest possible market. When business is good, they can afford to take more risks and start stocking up on 38 Super and 10mm. But times are hard all over. So they buy what they believe will move the fastest.

yah, i ordered my TLE/RL2 in early December because my dealer got me an awesome deal on it. However it's now May and he has no idea when it will come in. Go figure, next time I might as well by from a brick and mortar store.

should be soon cause sporting arms ordered in feb and they said 2-3 months in march....could have been 4-6 when you ordered it like it is now

I called for a Custom II and was told six to ten months. Bought a Springfield instead.

Ah. Nice deal. Turners pricing and stock is OK. Their customer service is pretty horrible though.
