    Mec-Gar mags question

So I am a new gun owner and member here. I picked up a Sig P226 this past weekend and it is saweet! Shoots like butter. Anyways it only came with 2 mags and I noticed that the factory mags are running anywhere from 40-45 bucks each. I found these cheaper ones (Mec-Gar) but wasn't sure if they wouldn't last or might have feeding problems down the road. My sig is a newer one so not made in W. Germany. (if that makes any difference) Anyone have any experience using these mags in their Sig? Thanks in advance.

Heres a link to the mags I was asking about. (only $24.99 vs $40+)

That looks identical to the Sig mags, the factory Sig Mags that came with the gun are also made by Mec Gar(stamped on the magazine)

It think the only difference is there is no Sig Sauer stamp. Buy it.

They are slightly different than the mags that came with my sig. They look like they are a two piece mag and the bottom of them seem to be plastic. My sig factory mags are one piece metal. I really hope they are just as good.

I've had good luck with MecGar. Buy 'em and try 'em ... they'll probably work fine.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Hmm I wonder why mine are different... Regardless they must be legit if Sig sent you them. Looks like I found a great alternative to the $40+ mags. Thanks for the info!

Mec-Gar is good stuff. They are OEM for a lot of the euro-spec semi-auto's. It just doesn't always say Mec-Gar on them. They are far better than the cheap US made or really trashy unmarked stuff at gun shows.

I run Mec-Gar's in my Ruger, they actually work better than the 10rd Ruger mags. I love them!!!!

Mec-Gar as GTG in most guns...very high quality. They were the OEM supplier for Sig until recently. Outside of CA, they even hold two extra rounds because of how the spring nest inside the tube.

The Sig I don't used them in is the 220 (ACT-Mags are better) and I don't care for Mec-Gar in a 1911 either
