    Taurus PT1911 .45acp

Anybody have any hands on experience they can share. I was gonna go shoot it at the rahaugees show but my dad said Taurus doesn't bring guns to shoot, only look and touch, UUMMM....OK. Then Robert at Turners Signal Hill said he doesn't think he get them cause they don't have a loaded chamber indicator. WTF is that about? Then I talked to a FFL on gunbroker and he said its totally cali legal, its just like any other springfield or kimber 1911. http://www.taurususa.com/products/pr...ategory=Pistol

The pt1911 is not on the state list. So it is not Cali legal. I touched one at the Reno show. The finish seem rough. It was priced at the low 600s. I would get a loaded Sprinfield for a little bit more.

Haven't been buying pistols lately, eh?

IF Taurus had introduced them before 2006 - looks like it came out around July, 2006 - it could have been submitted to the CADOJ for inclusion on their Roster; at the time of introduction in 2006, a new-to-the-roster pistol could have EITHER a magazine disconnect OR a loaded-chamber indicator (or both, of course, but one of the two was required). In 2007 and after, a pistol must have BOTH before it can be added to the roster. The PT1911 does not appear to have either.

The gunbroker FFL apparently is not familiar with the (stupid) subtleties of California Law. It's all in PC 12125 and following.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!
