    question about adjusting your sights

i bought a used Browning hi-power a couple months ago, the rear sight needs to be adjusted. So what I did is I bought a rear sight adjustment tool.
my question to you guys is should i put some oil on the rear sight in hopes it will penetrate to the dovetail? If thats the case how do i remove the oil once the sight is where i want it? by the way these are Trijicon.night sights.
    Thanks to all who reply.

Just force it in the direction you need to go. Its machined as an interference fit.
