    Transfer

How would a transfer work from my dad. When he lived in NV he bought a gun at a gunshow, in NV when you buy at show you just get a receipt and a bill of sale. Anyways he has had this gun for years he lives here in CA. I want it.I know he hasn't done any registering here in this state. We know the gun is not stolen. Because they had stolen it from him and when the police recovered it they called him up and returned it.

What do I have to do?

This will work even though the gun isn't register in CA?

Yep - you get HSC, he says "here's your new gun", you send in the form with $19.

        see the wiki - http://wiki.calgunsfoundation.org/in...Family_Members

ETA it is not a condition of ownership that guns be registered.

Frozen in 2015, it is falling out of date and I can no longer edit the content. But much of it is still good!

Cool thanks. Do I enclose a copy of the HSC with the application? I don't see anywhere on the form where it ask for the number of the certificate.

Also the gun was bought here in the U.S. But it says made in Italy. What do I put for country of origin?

And I already have the HSC.

Some people just write the HSC # in the margin of the form.

Country of Origin = which country it was made in

I have used the intra family transfer several times and never included the HSC or the number off my card. Was never asked to verify.
