Why do you shoot 9mm?

I shoot 9mm cause you can load them light and they feel like you are shooting a 22 and they still knock down steel

Just curious if anyone has changed their opinion since cost and avaiabilty aren't valid points in today's climate. This may change, I'm speaking of today not prior or future.

Well it certainly isn't cost effective to be buying a different caliber gun. I'm still finding 9mm for $13 a box and 45 for $20. So it is still cost effective. Don't give into the panic.

Why does the OP shoot .40 S&W and not 10 mm? Is he too weak to handle the recoil? Is he too poor to be able to practice at the range with 10 mm instead of .40 S&W?

Don't think he's posted on this thread for a couple years, but didn't read the 6 old pages from 2011.

Had a 9 sold it, Had a 40 sold it, have a 45 keeping it and adding another. But just maybe I might get another 9 only for plinking.

I weight around 250, mostly because of to many cheese burgers, pretty sure my chest cavity and arteries are not any more robust than that of a 190 lb man. Unless cheese burgers make me 9mm proof? More research needed..... just in case I get shot with a 9 yo!
