    Holsters for a G34

Holsters for a G34. I cant find them. I heard a "Serpa" model is great, but their is a ton of models and it seems like all are for the G17 not a G34. I would like a nice holster for dirtbiking/Hiking.

I use the serpa for a g17 model with my g34. It sticks out a little longer but doesn't affect anything. The only downside to the serpa is that its not very concealable holster.

Blackhawk level 2 tactical should be good. I love mine for the 34 when I'm going something active which it sounds like you are...

There are some people that it's just not worth engaging.

It's a muzzle BRAKE, not a muzzle break. Or is your muzzle tired?

I'm retired. That's right, retired. I don't want to hear about the cop who stopped you today or how you didn't think you should get a ticket. That just makes me grumpy!

That serpa is a drop leg. Not to comfortable. The regular serpa say only g17. As for the blade site which model? Any other options?

dirtbiking as in motorcycle, or bicycle? A thigh rig is manageable, but a cross draw hunting holster (universal fit) may be a better option, for hiking also. Or an IWB from Blade Tech. They have complete fitment for the G34/G35. Are you concerned with concealed carry if you do not have a permit?

Blade-Tech's concealed carry holsters offer a no nonsense approach to holsters. Easy carry for the Glock 43, Springfield Hellcat, Sig P365, and more.

The 17 and 34 frames are identical.. What's dimensionally different is the length of the slide. The G34 will fit MOST* G17 holsters. That said, what you have to watch out for is the length of the holster. If it's an opened ended holster it will work (more often than not). If it's not, then the longer slide on the G34 will prevent it from seating fully.

It's easy enough to contact the retailer and/or manufacturer and ask them about the compatibility between the two..

Personally I really like the SERPA's. It's pretty good for what it's designed for. The retention button is pretty solid and if you're going to be mobile then definitely get something with active retention. Most kydex "competition" holsters are made for snag free, quick draws. The typically retain the gun very, very poorly..

Safariland is another option, but Bladetech is also very reputable.. For me, the big detractor for both of these is that they are a bit more "bulky" than Blackhawk's SERPA..

He uses a Kytac Sooper Hooper 2 Kydex Holster and Kytac MP-2 Kydex mag pouches. But that is for competition shooting, not hiking or biking............

If it's not, then the longer slide on the G34 will prevent it from seating fully. Yes, my G17's will fit in my G17L/G24C holster ok, but it is not safe the other way around. Your other option is to cut the bottom out to clear the molded nose. I did this with a dremel for my Ruger 22/45 on a straight drop Blade Tech because of the 6.88" barrel length. Use target tape to make your line and the metal saw that comes with the dremel. I'll get a pic tonight.

I use this for my G34. It works fine, but it took a little time to break it in.
