    Sooo much waiting!!!

Apparently the Springfield 1911 GI is popular or Springfield is behind on production. I cant find any near me here in orange county. Tried OC Indoor Range and Turners in Anaheim!

Was gonna get this gun when I turned 21 on the 3rd of this month and I dont wanna wait any longer. NOOOOO!!!!

Just ordered mine from my local dealership. They said the turn around time is up to 4 months. Patience is a virtue (which I don't have too much of). These guns seemed to be sold out everywhere (even on the internet). You can order one through your local gun shop (who will then have to order direct from springfield) but it may take a month or more...plus the 10 day waiting period.

Yea im on a wait list at one of the shops that gave me the best prices. Saw him today and he didnt get any in. He checks everyday he is in for me which is nice of him. I also wanted the 1911 to be my first handgun purchase since I love it so much but I may have to cave and get my 2nd purchase in mind which is a P226

I'd buy something else in the meantime.

If you really want the 1911 to be your first gun, just pay for it right now, and it will be the first gun your purchased*.

*first gun purchased, not first gun taken possession of.

That logic actually makes perfect sense. I was thinking of getting a 22lr kit for my 1911 but with this wait I might just get a dedicated 22 pistol. Anyone know how to get a GSG 1911 22lr legally in CA?

                It is all about semantics.
