1911, Glock or just plain caliber?

I love my Glocks, I love my 1911's, I'm a caliber kind of person as in I like primarily own .45 and 9mm handguns.

Are you a 1911 person, A Gock Perfection person, or a caliber person?

Generally a Glock person but I can't stay away from 1911s. I like Glocks for the extended capacity (unless I'm shooting my P14) and from the factory reliability plus I can find my way in and around Glocks.

Too many variables in your poll.

Should keep it simple (1911 or Glock poll... which has been done to death, or a 9mm vs .45 ACP poll... which has also been done to death).

You're beatin a dead horse. You should have made a 1911 AND Glock option as well. My two favorite auto pistols.

              1911Glock1911Glock1911Glock1911Glock1911Glock1911. ...

My above satire starts and ends with my choice for me... 1911.
Of course both are excellent choices...

I just can't seem to learn to like the grip on a Glock -- and I've tried.

The 1911 grip just feels right to me and I've never found a handgun I like to shoot better.

                  Calibers I've got in 1911 include .45, 9mm, .38 Super, .22lr and I'm still looking.
People don't like to be meddled with. We tell them what to do, what to think, don't run, don't walk. We're in their homes and in their heads and we haven't the right. We're meddlesome.

Yup. Add a CZ and some SA revolvers and you know have a respectable little shootin collection.

I had a 9mm and a .40 S&W Glock and I shot OK with them, but nothing to write home about. Bought some Sigs, and I shot better. Bought some 1911's and I became better than average shooter and I got really good with clearing malafunctions. Now I got some CZ's and I think I finally found something that I can really excel with .

You go buy what ever you are comfortable with. Only you can have the answer. I would be bias if I would suggest Glock but I personally chose Glock for I can manage it better than any other handgun that I have.
