    Taurus PT911, your thoughts.

I have been looking at the PT911 Stainless in 9mm. It has jumped out at me for appearance but I have heard a lot of, let's say, non positive remarks regarding Taurus products. Anyone have any experience with this piece?

I don't have any Taurus pistols, my uncle in AZ has a taurus for his carry piece. He has a few Taurus revolvers and semi autos, they have all functioned flawless. How much does the PT911 go for?

I saw one on gunbroker NIB for under $500. I haven't searched anywhere else yet. For some reason I have an itch for a SS 9mm with a 4" barrel. Can't explain it, I just want one.

I think for the money and what they offer, they are a fantastic bargain.

Ya. It seems like a pretty friendly price for a cool little range gun. Could still be used for HD if needed, but my gtg is Rem 870 or SP-101. I usually wait a couple days before I buy to see if anything else comes up, but this could be my next gift to myself.

Once you have a 1911 in the house, it will replace your SP as your go to gun...

Just got my Springfield Loaded. Not a lot of practice with it yet, though. But I know what you mean. My XD40 just got put further back in the safe. But, the wifey is afraid of autoloaders, so the wheelgun is more accessible if needed. I thought the PT911 would be a small enough compromise that might get her into the auto loaders. I don't have a 9mm yet, so..... Not sure if I will buy one yet, but right now it is always on my mind.
