Colt LWT XSE Commander Bobtail Range Report

I put up a thread a couple of months ago when I got my commander back from the Colt Custom Shop (details on 1911forum). Well, I hadn't had a chance to shoot it until Saturday (I've been busy), but I was certainly impressed with it.

First, the gun:



Now, I'm not a great shot, but I'm getting better at it. This 25 rounds at 10 yards. There are 7-9's and 18-10's. I imagine that a really good shot could punch a ragged hole with this gun.



Anyway, thought you guys might like a range report.

How much did Colt charge you for the bobtail?

Thanks for that report. This Friday a buddy and I are each going to order a COLT XSE. After reading a bunch of articles and such this was the way to go.

The XSE's are really nice guns. Try to find the new models with the upswept beaver tail already installed.

Thanks for the tip. Was going to get the one that has 100 Years of Service on it. Seems they are all modifiable but I want to keep this gun stock as it is more for me to own and shoot occasionally than for a range gun. This will be the handgun I leave in my house in NorCal...I usually travel with my M&P 45.
