    Interfamila Q

    From AZ->ca
    Father -> daughter

    Does dad need to have the AZ FFL send to Ca FFL or can he send it to the CA FFL himself?

    And, basic letter needs to say father transfers to daughter as gift. Serial#. Signed etc...??

    Thx!

      You mean "Intrafamilial".

        Father ships directly to the CaFFL, if it is consistent with Arizona law.

        Make sure the receiving FFL is aware that the intrafamilial transfer is roster-exempt... not all shops are aware of that.

          Your dad can Drive the weapon over and do the interstate family transfer
          ,have the FFL put this on the form:

          12078PC-compliant intrafamily transfer

          Or you dad can send the weapon directly to your FFL from Arizona.
          (be sure your FFL will accept out of State weapons directly, some won't)

          In both cases your Dad will have to write a GIFT LETTER saying he wants his son to have this weapon; included the serial number and do a copy of his DRIVERS LICENSE on the same paper. This letter will go into the FFLS file in case he gets audited.

          You owe Dad a nice dinner.

              He can bring it, but it's not treated as a $35 PPT. Normal FFL tran$fer fee$ $till apply, but it does save the hassles of shipping.

                  Sorry. Only your MOM and DAD, GRANDFATHER, GRANDMOTHER, SON, DAUGHTER.

                  So, have your wifes father give the weapon to her. Then do the transfer.

                  (dang..you already know that. So I am editing)

                      I think that would be pushing it.
