S&W dropping the lock...
... At least on certain models. The 340 series appears to be one. Buds Police Supply has one listed but the ad says "email for availability," and Gun Broker has one listed at $950. I hate the lock, so for me this is good news. BTW, the news appears to date back about 6 months, I guess I just missed it.

Good news, tho I'd still rather have a 60's vintage blued model. Just something about 'em.
