    Defensive rounds testing.

I've been trying some defensive rounds in 9mm. My question is, how many shots would you fire of any one brand before you trust your life with it in a defensive situation? I've tried gold dots, federal hst, whinchester wranger, a few others. All functioned fine, but I have only fired 1 box of each. Some boxes had 25 and some 50 rounds per box.

1 box sounds good to me.. hopefully you did some double tap to make sure it runs good.

Yes, did some double taps. So far the gun has not had a problem with anything I gave it.

Modern guns perform well with the holow point bullets.

This is one shot stop on the suspect back in 80's:

This is what I shot into the water tank for a test:

Most premium bullets perform well. Don't worry about the performance of the bullets. Just practice and be proficient with the gun. Deliver the bullet to the intended target area, and the bullet will do the job. There is no one shot solution. I have seen plenty of cases that one shot from a 22LR or 38 SPL killed a man.
