    Picked up my 1911 today!

It a Springfield Loaded Light Weight Bi-tone w/ Night Sights. I just put 100 rounds through here at the range tonight and she shoots great. The only problem is that afterwards I shot my friends Sig P226, and now I may have to sell this to buy one of those

Sell this to buy the Sig?!?! If you were local to me, I'd agree so you'd sell it to me

I'd take this SA over the Sig any day...good choice.

Sell it? You just got it!

Save up, get a pre-owned Sig, and be happy.

I love Sigs, but I love 1911s, too. Yours is pretty. Why do you need to limit yourself? It's not like you married that 1911. You can shoot off with anything else you want. She won't even call it cheating.

You bought a 1911 before you got a SIG?!?!!? Hahaha...just teasing. I love my SIG's. Save yourself a couple hundred and buy a CPO gun instead of a new one.

            Nice Springer BTW.

No actually my first handgun was a Sig P2340 in .357sig which I still have and love. I got this in a trade for an engine I had. It was the only gun he had that I had any interest in near what I wanted for my motor. I think I will keep it though and buy a P226 also

Sell that 1911 and get a real 1911 (steel frame). Unless you are getting CCW, I don't see any advantage in alloy frame 1911.

                    Congrats! Nice find.

P.S. Ditch the 2 pcs guide rod and get a GI rod and plug setup

Nice 1911. I have two, both Springfield Armory guns. A .45 cal GI and a .45 cal Stainless Steel Mil-Spec. Soon will have and XD9.

A good SIG is wonderful, a tuned 1911 is so much better!
