    Where to buy?

My parents are gifting me a handgun for my 19th birthday and I would like to know if there are reputable handgun stores that know what they're doing.

I dropped by a store today and all I got was "You can't buy a handgun at 18."

Preferably if they also can let people take the HSC Test.

    I live near Cerritos.

    Thanks tons.

I know there is an ammo bros over by cerritos. I've been to their Ontario store and everyone over there has seemed to be very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They also didnt have any trouble with letting me take the hsc test before I turned 21.

I would say to stay away from Turners but thats just from my experiences there.

who ever told you that you had to be 21..

Are there any minimum qualifications/requirements for a person who wants to take the Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) test?

The only requirements are that the Handgun Safety Certificate (HSC) applicant must be at least 18 years of age and must present clear evidence of identity and age by presenting a California Driver's License or California Department of Motor Vehicles Identification Card.

from CA DOJ, attorney generals office
