    HiPoint c9 just purchased!

Just picked up my new HiPoint C9 from a fellow calgunner! And now its in jail until Sunday of next week

Inspected the gun before hand and it seems very solid, I have heard many mixed reviews on the gun but from all the performace tests I could find it seems to me that many people dislike the firearm because it is not 'sexy', which it is not by any means

Anyway when I pick it up next week I plan on doing a comparison test between the c9 and a Springfield XD9. I will post a new thread with the results when the test is complete!

      my condolences....

Just messing with you bro, my cousin has one and it has a couple thousand rounds through it without a hiccup. For the price, you can't beat it. Congrats.

You may find HUGE differences between the two guns! Just saying.
I see it as driving your VW and then driving your friends Porche! Not at all the same, yes they both get you from point A to point B reliably but a huge difference in the handling department.

That said I don't think you wasted your money. My buddy has a C9 with well over 2500 rounds through it and no hiccup at all. I have shot it and it does feel different(I own an XD), and in the looks department(well that goes without saying), but looks mean shat to a BG!
I hope you enjoy your purchase and I am looking forward to a range report!

I've heard good things in regards to both their handguns and carbines.

I have 2 C9 one i had to polish the feed ramp a little and also bend the mag lips to stop it from jamming. the other one has no problems. not i could of just sent it back to high point and they would of fixed it but i dont mind doing it. now after doing it i dont thing ill ever tear the gun down agian. this is the worst part of the gun and a pain to do. ill just shoot it till it breaks and send it in for repairs if i have problems.

I bought one used also. It misfeeds about once every 2 mags. I rack the slide and keep shooting. Not my primary gun so I havn't worried. It probably the ramp. Not as accurate as my 92fs but that was expected.

good job, you just need to handle it enought to get use to it being top heavy. recoil is suprisingly light though. good stuff!

its a 3 inch barrel so its not gonna be a tack driver. good enuf to put bullets into center mass or in to someones head at 25 feet though. you might wanna polish up that ramp or send it in to get it serviced.

                            The C9 is

                            1. Top heavy
                            2. Ugly
                            3. A brick if you run out of ammo throw it at the BG
                            4. A cheap beater/range plinker

My C9 has had zero work done on it. Lost track but somewhere around 2200 rounds through it. I have never torn it down. I clean the barrel and what I can get to. It shot a case of cheap blazer non brass ammo without a malfunction plus another 100 rounds, so it is up to 1100 rounds without a malfunction. The recoil still feels odd because the slide is so heavy. I'm going to shoot it till it has issues then I will find out about tearing it down.
