    9mm and 45AACP ball

What are some of the better brands of 9mm and 45 ball? As far as accuracy goes.

Reloading will allow one to achieve tighter shot groups than what is available over the counter.

      +1 on reloading

But it's not just the brand of ammo but also depends on the gun itself. My 1911 loved cheap WWB & Remington (of course with the occasional flyers here and there) but really hated Federal and wolf. I also suggest not using steel cased ammo.

If you're looking at just straight ball ammo, it's hard to beat Winchester White Box. When I was in the Navy, back around the turn of the century (God, it's weird to think of it like that!) the 9mm ammo that we were issued was plain ol' WWB. Came in the green ammo cans, but the boxes inside were the same stuff you could buy at Wal Mart. The .45 ACP is good, too. I've never had a problem with either caliber, in WWB.

I don't buy the most expensive ammo but I also don't buy the cheapest. On the places that review ammo, I see more negative reviews for the no-name ammo and the Blazer stuff.

I personally shoot Fiocchi 115 gr. FMJ but I'm thinking about trying some Spear Lawman and I got given some WWB as a gift that had no problems.

Most, if not all commercial ammo will serve you well.
