Most of my friends know that I am a huge huge fan of FP10. Dr.Jones was the first guy to introduce me to the stuff so I had George Fennell of FP10 send me a free 1oz bottle of FP10. Prior to that I had been using Hoppes and BreakFree. Since I've received the little sample bottle, I was so impressed that I've been using FP10 ever since. Fast forward to today. I've gone through two 1oz bottles and about 1/2 of the 32oz bottle of FP10 CLP.
Last week I heard that George is no longer with FP10 and has since designed another formula with increased corrosion and cleaning abilities. I've never had a gun rust during the time I used FP10 but hey I'm a sucker for new stuff. What do I have to lose. I emailed George and asked him for a sample.
I got my samples mid week and tried them out. Cleaning was fast and very efficient. Racking the slide of the GSR feels even smoother with the new stuff and the RIG grease. The 1 oz bottles are very very convenient for range use. He is sending me some other samples to try out as well. Perhaps I'll have them before the next shoot.
In the meantime here are some photos of the CLP in action I'll post a report after I get my guns dirty
