So what guns can we look "forward" to getting the boot in 06-07?

I've seen some more threads about yet more "safety" items which will further reduce the number of guns available to us lawful types. What's available now that will go by the wayside this year as new laws take effect?
I never thought they'd really kill the AR, so I never bought one. Yeah, so unless I move, I'll never have (a real) one. I've got a 1911, a Buck Mark, I'm hoping I can get a T/C G2 this year, but what should I be looking for NOW cause I'll have no choice next year?
If the post seems lame, sorry. Just that there doesn't seem to be a centralized place to see cause and effect of every law the scum...er...lawmakers have put in place to protect us from ourselves. I'd been out of guns for years while I had little ones in the house and now that I'm back in, I find I can't buy (unless I can find one local) a Remington XP-100, the aforementioned AR and I don't even know what else. I'm just wondering what rug will be pulled out before I know I wanted to step on it.

Fortunately, everything that's already on the list will continue to be on the approved list. The newest requirements to make the list merely eliminate handgun innovation rather than ban current handguns. However, there are still some VERY cool handguns that are both NEW and meet BOTH the chamber loaded requirement and magazine disconnect feature such as the Smith and Wesson M&P handguns.

It would seem that the ban pretty much produces a Smith & Wesson monopoly on semi-auto pistols in the state of California. Don't expect this to last though because Chamber Loaded indicators and Magazine Disconnects are _NOT_ rocket science technology features to add to handguns. And as the recent SURGE in sales of unlisted .223 self loading rifle lowers has proven, California gun buyers will buy 5-10 of anything someone in the free states will buy 1 of and they will pay 200% more for each of those items.

I think it also goes without saying that as we have proved time and time again, there is _ALWAYS_ a way. I have to admit I _NEVER_ thought I'd see a legal .223 reciever come into this state again, but as always people found a way. Don't be surprised if at some point in the future there are legal "off list" handguns comming into the state due to something we haven't thought of or seen yet.

OK, call me dumb - what group buy? I've noticed postings and stickies about the goup buy, but I don't find the actual post about it!
Can someone help me out here? Man, I hate looking dumb...even on a forum.

              Ah, yes

Thanks for the link. Down the street from me they have some AR's with the fixed mags available too. I 'spose that's ok. Not my cup o' tea, though.
My idea is primarily for SHTF and HD use. I'm not sure I can call a time-out if it really gets to where I've got to use something as radical as an AR. While not quite the same, I'm thinking I'll be looking to a SOCOM for that work.
I've got a Nova Tactical, my Kimber and a couple 22's for the fun work. While I hope to never have to use the first two or the rifle I choose for the work mentioned above, it's not for show, it's for go. Nothing against anyone who wants one of these at all! Just not for me.
              Thanks again for the link.

Gunner, if you're talking about a FAB-10 based pistol that would be an interesting proposition. Not sure what the laws say about fixed magazine handguns. I do know that the manufacturer would have to import them into the PRK as complete handguns because frames/recievers can't be imported stripped.
