    GLOCK 26 Range report

    IT'S AMAZING

Sorry but their is not much more to say. Its the best out of the box pistol I own and most likely will be the best shooting pistol I own if it keeps it up.

Glad you like it! It took me a while to warm up to my 27, but it's my favorite little monster now.

Have you noticed that these subcompact Glocks usually have reduced felt recoil than their larger counterparts? I love it.

I really like my 26 as well. I'm more accurate with it, I like the sights, and best of all Federal 9mm from wally world is $10 and change per box of 50. The only things I did to it was put the Pierce finger extension on the mags and the ol' bike tube on the grip. I've got somewhere around 1000 rounds through it in the 4 months I've had it. I've had zero problems with it. I also like that you can use any 9mm Glock mag in it.

That's another reason I like my 27, I can use all the old "large-capacity" Glock 22 mags my dad gave me back in the '90s.

Funny thing is I had a pierce finger extension on one of my mags and I think I like shooting without it. I took it off today. Thanks for reminding me about the bike tube grip. I think I need to do that. Any extra tube your not using?

I know, I know it's not a range report. It was my attempt at a bit of humor. I am not joking when I say it will most likely be my favorite and best performing pistol I own though.

I'm actually headed out to shoot in about 5 min. I just took off one of my finger extensions cause it's getting on toward hot weather time and the 26 conceals a little better under just a T-shirt without it. I'm going to see if I do ok without it and if I do I'm just gonna leave it off.
RE: the bike tube- I've got quite a bit, PM me your address and I'll send you some.

I agree with this! I rented a Glock 26 at Sharpshooter and I was surprised how well it handled. Recoil was a lot less than I thought it would be. Once I got on the sights it was hard to tell that I wasn't shooting my Glock 17. Only my pinky reminded me that I was shooting a sub-compact pistol instead of a service sized pistol. No failures even for a filthy, beat up rental gun. Even did some one handed flashlight drills. The wife also shot the 26 and I didn't notice a difference in her accuracy or split times. I want one but my son keeps pestering me for an M-forgery.

                              Congrats..!!

The GLOCK 26 is a perfect weapon.!...

I got mine about 3 weeks ago and I really love it. Awesome shooter.!

It's just me and my likes and dislikes but here is what I've done so far:

                              1. I've decided to keep the standard fixed sites. They are right on.

                              2. I did add an extended slide release; mainly because once in a while I want to be able to drop the slide with one hand. 99% of the time I just rack-back like normal.

                              3. I did a .25 cent trigger job. I've decided no 3.5 connector. The trigger is smooth already; this is a defense weapon.

                              4. I do have a KKM barrel, but after shooting both barrels, I am sticking with the stock barrel. The KKM is a little tight and some COR-BON (hot stuff) I was shooting did stick a couple of rounds....not good in a defensive weapon. The GLOCK barrel will feed anything you can get into a Magazine..LOL

                              5. I am a Pre-Ban Mag owner so I have the luxury of running my GLOCK 19, 15 round mags if I please. I did convert one of my G19 mags to run in this new GLOCK 26. 15+1 gives me the option of 16 rounds of high speed hollow points in this Pocket Rocket.

                              6. Just for fun I did install a MAGPUL magazine base plate on one of the 10 rounders. I like it; it does give me a place for my pinky as well. But I can shoot it with the normal flush mag just as well.

                              7. While shooting a bunch of hot ammo I noticed my trigger finger was getting sore. (slight pinching from the serrations on the trigger). So I installed a GLOCK 17 smooth trigger and removed the serrated trigger bar.
Just so you know; all glock trigger bars are the same. The only difference is the smooth or serrated. So they interchange. I bought my replacement smooth trigger bar new for $15. Well worth it for my finger's sake.

This weapon is a keeper, for sure.

I am thinking about a G27 if I can find one in OD. (I'am am collecting OD framed GLOCKS right now)

                              Before the new slide release

My GLOCK 19 KKM barrel fit right in. Extended of course. But is a little tight for hot ammo. So I am running the stock barrel for those running street battles...LOL

May the Bridges I burn light the way.
